Hinton Compatriots - First look at the Austrian Mounted Infantry Officers

Prototype for Hinton Compatible ANC02 Hungarian Infantry Colonel in Helmet

Andy Stadden never ceases to amaze me - this prototype looks marvelous! albeit modifications and improvements are ongoing.

The Austrian Mounted Officers will consist of:

ANC01 - Infantry Colonel (German) in Helmet
ANC02 - Infantry Colonel (Hungarian) in Helmet
ANC03 - Infantry Colonel (German) in Shako
ANC04 - Infantry Colonel (Hungarian) in Shako
ANC05 - Infantry Colonel (German) in Grenadier Fur Hat
ANC06 - Infantry Colonel (Hungarian)in Grenadier Fur Hat
ANC07 - Staff Officer (German) in Bicourne (worn front to back)
ANC08 - Staff Officer (Hungarian) in Bicourne Hat (worn front to back)
ANC09 - General in Bicourne Hat (worn Left to right)and wearing short coat
ANC10 - Field Marshall in Bicourne Hat (Worn left to right) in Parade Uniform
ANC11 - ADC in Tall Plumed Bicourne Hat (worn front to back) wearing a sash and with dispatch
ANC12 - ADC in Tall Plumed Bicourne Hat (worn front to back) wearing a sash Galloping with dispatch

The final decision was to have the rider and saddlery together and the horse separate despite my earlier concerns about the two parts not fitting together to well. However Andy assured me they would! Looking at the prototype I guess he is right!

This allows us to have several different horses to choose and it is more efficient. The final horses will have a base attached. The riders poses will all be different.

I an very excited and personally can't wait to get my hands on these figures.

  1. I would encourage you to consider a slightly bigger head and neck to go with the large sized horse you have there. Imagine the horse trying to drink water from a creek. Would this neck allow it to reach the ground?

  2. Hi,

And thanks for you comment which is appreciated - Yes - it's a prototype prior to finished master - showed to me to show the basic design - I am sure it will be correct in the finale master. There will also be several different horses.

    But great observation!
